水杨梅又名细叶水团花、水杨柳，为茜草科水团花属落叶小灌木。多分布於南、北温带或北极。有些开白色、红色、橙黄色或黄色花的种被栽培观赏。通常不高於六十公分(2�);叶多基生，复叶、深裂或具缺刻。花径约2～3公分（约1�），单生或聚生成小簇。
